"May you be born in interesting times."
--Chinese blessing.
Hello fellow humans and specialists in self-actualization... and species-actualization.
From now on, for our mutual convenience, I will address you as EvLovers. Because you love evolving, of course.
Evolution. This is what humans do, privately and universally, and ultimately, this is what the blog is all about.
The reason I created this blog in the first place is this: we are living in some truly interesting times. Our shared lifetime is interesting for a few reasons.
First, we have the readily observable: our familiar, infinitely maximizing way of life is hinged on a finite planet. We're at a crossroads: adapt or else.
Second, is that the evolving zeitgeist--the spirit of the age--combined with the fractalizing information network--is opening our psyches to a playground of ideas that we have never before been able to communicate. What gives this phenomenon extra spice is that information is being put out more rapidly than it can be integrated using the same tools we've relied on for generations.
Think of it this way: the Neanderthals used the same old spearhead for thousands of years... until one day, early humans started making better, smaller, sharper spearheads out of obsidian, a variation that was continually improved until we were able to land on the moon in our century.
I argue that the new tool of the neo-sapiens is a new way of thinking: holistic, non-dual, non-linear thinking.
